A trail that comes to life digitally
Kamila Trails combines hiking with a digital guide, creating a complete exploration experience. The signposted route starts from Neochori and unfolds across the slopes of Mount Holomontas, in mountainous Halkidiki. Through the signs and QR codes, visitors gain access to information about the route, the nature, the history and the special character of the area.

The sign becomes a digital guide
Every checkpoint along the route carries a QR code. Scan it with your phone to see your exact position, your altitude, your progress, and the distance to the next sign and to the finish. No app to install, no account to create — just scan the QR.
One identity, from the sign to the screen
The colours and symbols of the digital trail follow the same visual identity as the signs on the path. The deep green evokes the forest, the earthy tones the natural landscape, and the orange marks the line of the route. What you recognise on the trail appears in the same clear way on your phone screen.
Accurate route data
Distances, elevation changes and the elevation profile are calculated from the recorded GPS track of the route. The same file is used both for placing the signage and for the digital display, ensuring consistency and accuracy in the information visitors see.
The project and its people
The Kamila Trail was created on the initiative of the Aristotelis Nature Experience social cooperative, with the financial support of Hellas Gold S.A., to showcase the natural wealth, the history and the distinctive character of Neochori and mountainous Halkidiki.
The project was designed to continue. It provides for trail-care work and volunteer initiatives through which residents, visitors and friends of the area can contribute to protecting the path and bringing it forward.
The aim is for the trail to remain a living point of connection with nature and with this place, while cultivating participation and shared responsibility.
